Video Golf Lessons by MailTM Details

Only students who have attended a CE Golf School and who have had some form of instruction from me within the past three years are eligible for Video Golf Lessons by Mail (no exceptions!). If you are a current student and are interested in a Video Lesson by Mail, please fill out the e-mail form (there is a link at the bottom of the page) to let me know you are interested in sending a video or if you have a question about the Video Golf Lessons. When I reply, I will include an address where you can send your video.

For students who have not yet had a Video Golf Lesson by Mail, I review how you're performing each fundamental and your explanation of each fundamental, which I want you to record for me, plus I demonstrate on your CD or DVD, how to continue refining your swing. This is a private lesson that covers the entire manipulation-free swing, not a prerecorded video! The fee is $175.

Most common file types are fine, although mp4 or Windows Media File (wmv) are preferred. My instruction will be filmed in mp4 unless you request an alternative format. Return postage within the continental U.S. via Priority Mail (USPS) is included.

Here are the things you should send:

1. Send me an email message to let me know you are wanting a Video Lesson by Mail and to make sure I can get to it in a time frame that is good for you.

2. If the scheduling is right, then send one of the following:

A) The best option is a USB flash drive formatted to be read by a Windows computer with at least 1GB free space
B) Two CD's (including one with your swing and one blank recordable CD)
C) One recordable DVD (that is not finalized).

3. Record on your media your swing while hitting balls with a mid-iron (and driver if you like) from 2 angles—one straight out from your chest (perpendicular to your target line) and the other from straight down your target line (looking through the viewfinder of the camera, you should see your intended target in the distance). No more than 4 swings from each angle, or 8 total. If you have the option on your video camera, use a high shutter speed—at least 1/2000 sec, or on some cameras, sport mode. If your camera doesn't have either option, that's fine.

4. In addition to filming yourself hitting balls, also film yourself giving a short explanation and slow motion demonstration of each fundamental. You can skip this part if you want, but it lets me know how you're thinking of the swing and is very important.

5. A check made out to Casey Eberting for $175* (please do not send cash). To minimize the chance of damage, it's best to use a shipping box (provided free at the post office if you use Priority Mail) rather than a shipping envelope.

6. Let me know the address where you want the flash drive, CD, or DVD sent, otherwise I will use the return address on the package.

7. Send an e-mail message to notify me of when and how you mailed your video.

It usually takes 2 to 3 days before I can finish a Video Lesson, but on rare occasions it may take up to a week from the time I receive your video before I can get it back in the mail. I'll send you a message letting you know I received it and again when I mail it.

Recommended Schedule for mailing videos

There is no recommended schedule. You learned just about everything you need to know about the swing during the CE Golf School, so the reason you would send a disc is to receive feedback as to how you are doing and to clarify any concepts that might not be crystal clear. Feedback is very important to help keep you on track, but I don't push or try to sell my instruction, so it is up to you to decide if, and how much follow-up you want. You're welcome to send a disc as often as you like, but for most people I recommend waiting until the end of a full cycle because I will thoroughly evaluate how you are performing each of the fundamentals and after receiving the feedback, you will be ready to begin work on another full cycle. An exception is that professionals, aspiring professionals, and golfers who are really motivated to improve as quickly as possible should consider at least once a month followup.
