Prerequisites For The CE Golf School Option

If you're considering learning the Hogan swing, please read this page very carefully! The following prerequisites are really just recommendations and are offered solely for your benefit. They only apply to those considering my manipulation-free (Hogan) instruction option.

In essence, it is very strongly suggested that any golfer considering this instruction option be very serious in their desire to improve. Most students taking this option tend to fall into two categories: 1) the golfer who is extremely motivated to become the best golfer that they can be, or 2) the golfer who may not have the time or desire to seek out their true potential, but still wants to understand Hogan's manipulation-free golf swing so they can work on it at their leisure.

The better you are, the quicker you can expect to see benefits. If you don't break 80, you have much, much further to go to become a good player and that means you have that much more work to do. Evaluate your athletic ability, your current playing ability, and how determined you are to become a better player before deciding to attempt to learn this swing. Everyone, including good players, has to have long term determination and motivation to succeed because this is an ongoing processes! I don't recommend this swing for beginners.

To be successful, you must be willing to practice. I suggest at the very minimum 2 days a week at the range with at least ten minutes of practice at home almost every day. Of course, the more frequently you practice, the more success you will have!

Once you have attended the CE Golf School, I strongly recommend you plan on some follow-up instruction after you complete each cycle (four or five months) for at least the first year. Without feedback you will get off track! Follow-up can be accomplished with private instruction or the more convenient Video Lesson By Mail.

If you really desire to become the best golfer that you can be and feel you have the necessary qualities of discipline, dedication, and motivation, the swing you'll learn with the CE Golf School is awesome! However, in spite of all my warnings, I still get far too many people who grossly overestimate their level of dedication. It's one thing to be willing to hit a lot of balls on the range as long as you're hitting reasonably well, but it's quite another to have to force yourself to practice during those times when your swing feels awful and you're hitting one bad shot after another, week after week! It's demoralizing and this is where people fail—they don't have the mental strength to work through the difficult patches in order to get to the other side. The physical aspects of learning this swing are challenging, but they can be overcome with practice. Lack of mental toughness will be the most likely cause for failure.

If you don't have the dedication or you aren't willing to commit to a long term improvement process, please don't waste your money on this instruction option. Instead, choose the San Antonio Golf Lessons and Golf Instruction which is suitable for beginner to professional and isn't nearly as demanding, physically or mentally.
