CEgolf.com San Antonio CE Golf Schools and Private CE Golf Schools FormatWhen I teach, I do it differently than other instructors. Of course I have a reason for doing so—I want to be more effective! So what's different? Simple, my instruction focus on maximizing a student's understanding! To accomplish this goal, I take the instruction away from the driving range. In other words, the student doesn't hit balls! Instead, I focus on explaining, demonstrating, and having the student repeat every motion slowly until they understand it as well as is possible during the instruction. The way I teach is as much mental as physical—if your brain doesn't understand what you should be doing, how is your body going to learn it? The reason I say this is that I, or any other instructor, can't be with you as you practice, so you'd better know what you're wanting to do. In essence, whenever you practice, you become the teacher, which is why I focus on maximizing your understanding. In other words, the purpose of practice, when developing a swing, is to have your brain teach your body how to swing. Of course, another great advantage of not hitting balls is that I can move indoors when weather becomes a factor! Following is a paragraph I borrowed from my CE Golf Schools page which helps illuminate my reasons for teaching as I do. Think of it this way—when you learn a new dance or you study martial arts (or any other complex movement), the emphasis at first is to perform the movements correctly, which means you do them in slow motion and break them into smaller sections. As the movements become more familiar over time, you begin to speed them up and put them together. So why would you try to learn a golf swing, not only at full speed, but also while trying to hit a ball? That would be like trying to learn a dance while on stage in front of an audience, or martial arts movements while in a fight! No matter how good a golfer is, they will still not be able to correctly perform any of the movements I teach, even while swinging in ultra slow motion, and that's even after four days of practicing while swinging in slow motion! Still want to hit balls during the lessons? In closing, I just want to say that if you're serious about your golf, you should consider what I have to offer, but first you need to go through my website and decide if you have what it takes to improve.
