CEgolf.com CE Golf SchoolsAt the vast majority of golf schools, your potential improvement will most likely be minimal. The reason is simple—they all try to make changes to your swing in a short period of time. They attempt to do this as you wear yourself out hitting a ton of balls on the range. Not only will your ability to concentrate wane, it's physically impossible to permanently change your swing so quickly! You should already know this—it's common sense. Don't believe the hype and false promises! While most golf schools would probably be better classified as golf camps, my CE Golf Schools are more like a college for those who want to build a solid foundation of knowledge. The goal is to get you to understand the fundamentals of a correct golf swing so that you will have the tools necessary to become a much better golfer. However, before considering instruction from me, keep in mind that my instruction is geared toward the serious golfer who is motivated and willing to practice. All others should consider instruction from someone else. When you return home you will have to work at what you learn—the harder and more often you work the better your results will be—and as with anyone making improvements to their swing, you will get frustrated at times. If you can't handle frustration and you can't dig deep to find patience when you have to, please don't waste your money coming to one of my CE Golf Schools. If you don't possess these qualities, or you can't develop them, you are not golf improvement material! At CE Golf Schools you will not beat thousands of balls on the range while fruitlessly trying to change your golf swing! Instead, you'll spend your time either indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather, learning the concepts of a fundamentally sound golf swing and how to perform these concepts correctly. Yes, you will be using a golf club and making partial and full swings, mostly in slow motion. Roughly 70% of the time is focused on these slow motion swings and the other 30% is spent explaining and discussing. I will not let you waste your time trying to learn a golf swing while your brain and body are preoccupied with hitting golf balls (any follow-up instruction may include hitting balls, but not during the initial instruction at a CE Golf School). Think of it this way—when you learn a new dance or you study martial arts (or any other complex movement), the emphasis at first is to perform the movements correctly, which means you do them in slow motion. As the movements become more familiar and automatic over time, you begin to speed them up. So why would you try to learn a golf swing, not only at full speed, but also while trying to hit a ball? That would be like trying to learn a dance while on stage in front of an audience, or martial arts movements while in a fight! Yes, CE Golf Schools are different than just about any other golf school! What I've done with my CE Golf Schools is concentrate the learning process so that you will acquire an understanding of correct golf swing fundamentals that minimize the need for manipulation (timing) in order to hit a golf ball consistently well and how to apply these fundamentals to your swing. Consider that when you practice, you are your own instructor. You won't have an instructor watching you, so you're the boss! You had better understand what it is that you are trying to do! One thing you won't get with me is the band-aid instruction you'll find even at big name, high volume schools that, by the very nature of being high volume, have to cater to the average golfer! If you want to be average, go work with them. I can't stress it enough, my instruction is for the golfer who is motivated to improve and is willing to do what it takes (practice) to reach their goals, whether it be to break 80 for the first time or to consistently shoot in the 60's. As you can probably tell, the emphasis of my instruction is on the full swing, however I do discuss the chipping motion because it is essentially a mini version of the full swing and is a good way to help develop understanding of the full swing. I will gladly discuss other aspects of the short game if anyone wants. By the way, the chipping motion typically taught, which has the left hand (for right handers) staying exaggeratedly ahead of the clubhead through the entire motion, is wrong. Watch how tour players hit most of their chip shots—they release the club, they don't block their chip shots (unless hitting a specialty shot) as almost every instructor in the world teaches! If you're a golfer who has a strong motivation to improve, meaning you're willing to practice—the more, the better—I hope you'll consider joining me in San Antonio for a San Antonio CE Golf School or Private San Antonio CE Golf School.
